Career
National Level Championships
During his college days, Shubham Shinde started playing Kabaddi at the national level for the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association. He became the captain of the Maharashtra State Kabaddi Association team for national-level Kabaddi championships in 2021.

Shubham then won a silver medal in the Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) and was awarded the title of Best Defender of Tournament during the Late Shankarrao ‘Buva’ Salvi Cup 2022 Men’s Kabaddi championship organized in Maharashtra in July 2022.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL)
Ashok Shinde, a Kabaddi Arjuna award winner, once observed Shubham’s abilities at a tournament hosted by Puneri Paltan in Chiplun. Ashok recommended Shubham to join the Puneri Paltan team for the 6th season of PKL in 2019. Shubham was chosen as a new young player based on his performance in the trials.

In 2021, Shubham Shinde started playing with the PKL team Patna Pirates and earned the nickname ‘Ankle Hold King of Kabaddi.’ In February 2022, he won the ‘Moment of the Match’ and ‘Tata Ace Defender of the Match’ titles.
