Andy Reid is an American football coach who started his professional coaching career with the Green Bay Packers and then served as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1999 to 2012. Regarded as one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, he has also served as the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.

As a teenager, he was employed as a vendor at Dodger Stadium.

Growing up, Andy Reid played youth sports at Lemon Grove Recreation Center in East Hollywood and one of his coaches there was Pete Arbogast, the radio announcer for the USC football team and play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Bengals.

When he was on Monday Night Football participating in the Punt, Pass, and Kick competition at the age of 13 in 1971, he was already so huge that he wore the jersey of football running back Les Josephson (6 ft 1 in, 94 kg).

During his senior year at BYU, the university won the 1980 Holiday Bowl.

During his tenure as a college coach, Andy Reid was on the staff of many teams such as the San Francisco State, the University of Northern Arizona, the University of Texas at El Paso, and the University of Missouri.

In 1992, he was hired by the Green Bay Packers and he went on to become the assistant offensive line and tight ends coach in 1995. He subsequently helped lead the 1996 team to a Super Bowl XXXI win over the New England Patriots.

He was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2002.

Andy Reid became the first NFL coach to win 100 games for two different teams, have the most wins for those same teams, and appear in four consecutive conference championships with two different franchises.

At least 11 of Andy Reid’s coaching assistants have become head coaches in the NFL and they include Brad Childress, Steve Spagnuolo, John Harbaugh, Leslie Frazier, Ron Rivera, Pat Shurmur, Todd Bowles, Doug Pederson, Sean McDermott, David Culley, and Matt Nagy.
