She bears a passing resemblance to the American-British actress, fashion designer, and model Sienna Miller.

Laura was discovered by a talent agent while working at a restaurant on Sunset Boulevard and successfully auditioned the next day for a part in the documentary film, The Real Cancun (2003). The film, which followed the lives of 16 American teenagers as they celebrated spring break in Cancún, Mexico, was generally panned by critics upon its release.

If given a chance, the one dead person she would like to have drinks with is Elvis Presley.

Using her expertise as a trained herbalist, Laura launched an organic herbal company called Nia’s Arc in 2022. The company specializes in a range of organic popsicles for young children that provide various health benefits.

One of her most memorable roles was starring as Olivia Lennox in She’s the Man (2006) alongside Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum.
