  • As a child artist, Suresh Gopi made his first film appearance as the son of the feudal lord in the Malayalam-language drama film Odayil Ninnu in 1965.
  • Along with Lal, Manju Warrier, and Biju Menon, Suresh Gopi co-starred as Kannan Perumalayan in the Malayalam-language tragedy film Kaliyattam in 1997. It is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play Othello and for his performance in the film, Gopi won the National Film Award, Kerala State Film Award, and Kerala Film Critics Association Award for “Best Actor”.
  • He was arrested by the Kerala state police in December 2017 on charges of forging documents to register his luxury vehicle.
  • Suresh Gopi co-starred as Dr. Muruganandam in the 2023 Tamil-language action thriller film Tamilarasan, inspired by Nick Cassavetes’ 2002 film John Q.
