Career
Pooja Sihag was eleven years old when she started practising wrestling to keep her body fit and fine. Gradually, the sport became a passion for her, and she joined the Alkesh Sports Academy in Haryana. In 2014, she marked her international debut by participating in the Junior Asian Championship organised in Mongolia and won a bronze medal in the wrestling championships.

Pooja then participated in the Junior Asian Championship organised in Myanmar in 2015 and won a bronze medal. In the following year, she won another bronze at the Junior Asian Championship held in Chinese Taipei. In 2017, she participated in the senior-level wrestling competitions at the Commonwealth Games organised in South Africa and won a silver medal. In 2018, she clinched a silver medal at the Senior Commonwealth Championship organised in South Africa. In 2022, at the Ranking Series Bolat Turlykhanov CUP Almaty in Kazakhstan, she won a bronze in the wrestling championships.
