Alexander Mattison is an American professional football player who has represented the Minnesota Vikings (2019-Present) in the NFL (National Football League), as a running back. He was selected 102nd overall in the 3rd round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. On March 17, 2023, Alexander signed a 2-year contract extension with that team – worth USD 7 million.

  • Alexander rushed for more than 2,000 yards in his final 2 high school seasons – 2,017 yards and 26 touchdowns in his junior year; and 2,057 yards and 22 touchdowns in his senior year (2015).
  • Besides American football, he ran track and wrestled during his time in high school. In his senior year, he won the Mountain Valley League title in the 110 m hurdles event. Alexander also won a league wrestling title in the 195 lbs category.
  • In his junior year (2018) at Boise State University, he rushed for 1,415 yards on 302 carries with 17 touchdowns in 13 games. He was also named the ‘Offensive ‘MVP’ (Most Valuable Player)’ of the 2018 Mountain West Conference Football Championship Game after rushing for 200 yards and a touchdown.
