Antony Varghese debuted with the film Angamaly Diaries (2017) directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by Chemban Vinod Jose. His character, Vincent Pepe, an energetic and unruly young man, was highly appreciated by the audience and critics. He is now popularly known by his screen name, Pepe.

Antony Varghese played the character of a convict named Jacob Varghese in the prison action thriller, Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil (2018), directed by Tinu Pappachan. The film was a success commercially and his role was also well-appreciated.
