Asit Kumarr Modi is an Indian television producer, director, actor, television personality, theatre artist, and founder of Neela Film Productions. During his initial years, Asit Kumarr Modi served as a lighting designer for Gujarati professional stage shows as well as handled the production and creative department of many serials in regional languages.

In 1995, he founded the television production company Neela Tele Films Private Limited (later known as Neela Film Productions). It started with the show Hum Sab Ek Hain.

In 2008, Asit Kumarr Modi started producing the Sony SAB sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (abbreviated as TMKOC). The show has the Guinness World Record for the longest-running Indian daily sitcom on television by episode count. TMKOC has also been a recipient of multiple accolades including the Indian Television Academy Award, Indian Telly Award, and Star Guild Award.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah‘s lead cast has included actors such as Dilip Joshi, Disha Vakani, Bhavya Gandhi, Amit Bhatt, Shailesh Lodha, Neha Mehta, Munmun Dutta, Mandar Chandwadkar, Sonalika Joshi, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Nidhi Bhanushali, Palak Sindhwani, and others.

Asit Kumarr Modi wrote the television drama show Krishnaben Khakhrawala which premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on November 29, 2010.

In March 2023, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal (who played Roshan Daruwala Kaur Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah) quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and accused producer Asit Kumarr Modi, executive producer Jatin Bajaj, and project head Sohail Ramani of s*xual harassment.
