His musical talent attracted the attention of Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds who subsequently signed Benson Boone to his record label Night Street Records in partnership with Warner Records.

On October 15, 2021, he released his debut single titled Ghost Town via Night Street Records and Joe Lynch of Billboard called the song an “elegant, lonely piano ballad that shows off [Boone’s] robust yet restrained vocals and knack for melodic detail”.

The song Ghost Town peaked at number #12 on the US Adult Top 40 (Billboard) chart, at number #24 on the US Mainstream Top 40 (Billboard) chart, at number #28 on the US Adult Contemporary (Billboard) chart, and at number #46 on the UK Singles (OCC) chart. Also, it was certified ‘Gold’ by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and ‘Silver’ by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Benson Boone has performed the song Ghost Town on several shows such as The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

His first extended play Walk Me Home… was released on July 29, 2022, by Night Street and Warner Records and it consists of songs like Ghost Town, Let Me Go, In the Stars, Better Alone, Empty Heart Shaped Box, Nights Like These, Work of Art, and Room for 2. Asher White of The Line of Best Fit gave the album an almost entirely negative review and described the EP as “a half-hour of plodding, cloying ballads, with few shifts in dynamics or tone. Its homogeneity is almost impressive, as is its commitment to sparse, Instagram-filter-production that isolates Boone’s piano playing and voice”.

On May 5, 2023, Benson Boone released his 2nd EP titled Pulse through Night Street and Warner Records.
