While the sought-after kitchen appliance of the moment is most definitely the air fryer, Amazon’s sale events are a great time to pick up deals on other household items that can be quite the investment – such as vacuum cleaners.

Plus, you can expect it to keep going for up to 100 minutes before it runs out of juice.While we haven’t tested this vacuum, a very similar Eufy model landed a spot in our round-up of the best robot vacuum cleaners, with our tester noting it had “great suction power and advanced features for the price.” Ahead of Prime Day, it’s a deal well worth considering.

Right now, the vacuum cleaner can be added to your basket with a discount of more than 30 per cent, so you can give your current model a much more budget-friendly upgrade. If you’re after a robot vacuum cleaner, iRobot’s roomba s9+ is currently reduced by 27 per cent and, what’s more, it earned a spot in our round-up of the best. It has a battery life of two hours and, very importantly, it left every floor in our tester’s house looking “spotlessly clean”. Dubbing it the best for cleaning pet hair, our reviewer praised the robot vacuum cleaner for learning which areas of their home needed a thorough clean, and noted the app was easy to use, too.

This cordless vacuum cleaner from Bosch promises to clean for up to 65 hours and, right now, it’s more than 40 per cent cheaper than usual. It’s freestanding and helpfully features an LED screen, which tells you when you need to change the filter. Clean up with the appliance while it’s on sale, and you can save £120.

Still discounted by 43 per cent, Samsung’s jet 60 cordless vacuum features powerful suction and a dust filter that captures 99.9 per cent of bacteria. Also offering up to 40 minutes of battery life, thanks to its lightweight design and a 180-degree swivel head, you should be able to reach every nook and cranny in your home when cleaning. While we’ve not reviewed this exact model, a similar Samsung jet vacuum earned a spot in our round-up, so, you and your home are in safe hands with the brand.

You can save more than £140 on a Bosch cordless vacuum cleaner, thanks to Amazon’s deal. While we haven’t tested this model at Indybest, Bosch is touting this model as being lightweight, compact and powerful. Billed as removing 99 per cent of dust from hard floors, the cordless model is claimed to clean for up to an hour without running out of juice. What’s more, it comes complete with a crevice tool for cleaning upholstery, as well as a mattress nozzle.

When will Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals begin?

Just as the IndyBest team predicted, Amazon’s next Prime Day sale – aka Prime Big Deal Days – will start on Tuesday 11 October and continue until the end of Wednesday 12 October. That will give shoppers a 48-hour window to snap up a saving from the retailer’s site. If the event is anything like previous big sales from the behemoth, these dates are well worth marking in your diary.

Do you need Amazon Prime to buy Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals?

This one is non-negotiable – you must have a valid Amazon Prime account if you wish to access the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale. Currently, a Prime membership costs £8.99 a month, with bonuses such as free next-day delivery throughout the year, as well as early access to the retailer’s lightning deals.

But fear not, if you’re not 100 per cent sold, it is possible to try it out and cancel the membership at any time, if it’s not for you. You can only set up a free trial subscription once, however.

What to expect from Prime Day vacuum cleaner deals in 2023

Amazon is yet to confirm specific discounts that will be live in October’s Prime Day sale, however, by looking back at previous sale events, we can guess what brands might be participating in Amazon’s deals. We’ve previously seen mass savings across big names such as Shark, Samsung, Hoover and more.

Vacuum cleaners are not cheap by any means, so, if you’re in the market for a new appliance, it’s not a bad time to be thinking of upgrading for less than the standard retail price.

Previous best vacuum cleaner deals in the UK

During the recent Amazon Prime Day Sale in July this year, savvy shoppers were able to snap up a Vax air stretch upright vacuum cleaner (£99, Amazon.co.uk) with 37 per cent off, while Vactidy’s V8 cordless vacuum cleaner (£126.43, Amazon.co.uk) was reduced by 30 per cent.

There were also whopping deals across models from favourite brands Shark (£379, Amazon.co.uk), Samsung (£198.49, Amazon.co.uk) and Hoover (£119.99, Amazon.co.uk) – and while Prime Day saw bigger savings, you can still snap up these models for less right now.
