FA Cup fifth-round draw LIVE: Liverpool, Manchester City and more learn fate

The draw was set to take place before Liverpool’s game with Norwich but it will now take place during half-time of that game.

Play was suspended after trouble broke out in the stands during West Brom’s FA Cup derby against Wolves at The Hawthorns.

The stoppage came shortly after Matheus Cunha had struck to give Wolves a 2-0 lead over their Black Country rivals in the 78th minute.

Police and security needed to rush to a corner of the ground supposedly holding home fans as the disturbance developed, while the players were ushered off the pitch.

Who knows what today will bring but it will be hard to beat the scenes witnessed at Portman Road yesterday as National League South side Maidstone stunned Championship Ipswich to win 2-1 and book their place in the fifth round.

It looks as if they are set to resume at the Hawthorns after a 30-minute delay. The paramedics are still attending to fans injured in the clashes so we still could have more time to wait.

We haven’t got confirmation but the fifth-round draw will no doubt be delayed as a result of this.

The day’s earlier game between Wolves and West Brom has unfortunately been suspended because of fan disorder in the 82nd minute.

Wolves were 2-0 up at the time and it’s currently unclear whether it will be able to continue.

“It was a big result for us, we know we wanted to progress. It’s our last chance of silverware this season,” Howe said.

“I thought we got the major bits right, which was resilience and a really good character and attitude. I thought we improved in the game, and got better in the second half.”
