Jaxson Hayes is an American professional basketball player who has represented the New Orleans Pelicans (2019-2023) and the Los Angeles Lakers (2023-Present) as a center/power forward, in the NBA (National Basketball Association – a professional basketball league in North America that is considered to be the world’s premier such league). Jaxson was selected 8th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1st round of the 2019 NBA Draft. His draft rights were soon traded, along with a heavily protected 1st-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, to the New Orleans Pelicans.

  • While at The University of Texas at Austin, Jaxson won the NIT (National Invitation Tournament) – in 2019. It is a men’s college basketball tournament operated by the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association – an organization that regulates student athletics among about 1,100 institutions in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico).
  • Founded in 1938 and once considered the most prestigious post-season showcase for college basketball, the tournament’s ‘Final Four’ stage is played each March and April at the iconic Madison Square Garden, a multi-purpose indoor arena in New York City.
