Depp, II v. Amber Laura Heard; however, she attended several proceedings inside the courtroom during the Virginia defamation trial against Heard. Career
From August 2008 to July 2011, she worked as a Solicitor at the law firm DLA Piper in London. In August 2011, she became a partner at the international law firm Schillings. She represented Johnny Depp in his 2020 U.K. libel case when he sued the British tabloid newspaper ‘The Sun’ for calling him a “wife-beater.” Depp has lost his libel case in November 2020. Previously, she represented Meghan Markle in a case against the publishers of the Mail on Sunday in 2021. The Schillings website states that she specializes in defending their reputations against false and defamatory allegations in print, online, and on social media. She has particular expertise in protecting individuals’ privacy from unwarranted intrusion and media attention.
