His family emigrated to Australia in the early 1990s.

After winning the 2016 U.S. Junior Amateur, Min Woo Lee and his sister Minjee Lee became the first brother/sister pair to win the USGA’s junior championships as she had earlier won the U.S. Girls’ Junior in 2012.

He made his professional debut in early 2019.

Min Woo Lee won the 2023 SJM Macao Open on the Asian Tour.

He has been described by Golf Magazine as the “first golf cult hero.”
