  • In 2018, she made her first theatrical film appearance by playing the role of Irene George (Chairperson of St. Teresa’s College Union) in the Malayalam-language musical drama film Poomaram. For this role, Neeta Pillai won the 21st Asianet Film Award for “Best New Face of the Year (Female)” as well as got nominated in the “Best Debut Actress (Malayalam)” category at the 8th South Indian International Movie Awards.
  • Along with Jiji Scaria, Sanoop Dinesh, Sooraj S Kurup, Anju Balachandran, and Sonet Jose, Neeta Pillai co-starred as Rithu Ram in the Malayalam-language martial arts film The Kung Fu Master in 2020. Sajin Shrijith of Cinema Express gave the film 3.5 out of 5 stars and wrote “The Kung Fu Master is a complete contrast to whatever he has made before in that it is a very plain, straightforward work. The film’s progress from one development to the next is as simple as drawing a straight line from one point to the other. Abrid foregoes his usual experiments with screenplay structure in favour of an adrenaline rush this time. But it is not without its novelty factors.”
  • In order to perform the action scenes in the film The Kung Fu Master, she trained for a year.
  • Neeta Pillai brought to life the character of ASP Vincy Abraham IPS (Paappan’s and Nancy’s daughter) in the Malayalam-language crime thriller film Paappan in 2022. It stars Suresh Gopi in the title role.
