Newcastle vs Liverpool LIVE: Premier League result and reaction

Jurgen Klopp is beaming and celebrating with the Liverpool supporters. He’ll be as amazed at that comeback as everyone else is.

90+5 mins: A final minute free kick is Newcastle’s last chance to equalise. Kieran Trippier curls it in but Liverpool clear their lines. The full-time whistle goes and there’s a stunned silence around St. James’ Park.

A gutteral roar from the Liverpool fans goes out! They’ve beaten Newcastle with 10-men and come from a goal behind to do so.

90+3 mins: Unbelievable Jeff!

Liverpool have come from behind to take the lead against Newcastle with just 10-men. Mo Salah slots a brilliant pass through the Liverpool defence as Darwin Nunez spins around the back of Dan Burn.

He collects the ball and guides it home with another fine guided shot!

90 mins: Five minutes of stoppage time to play. Both Eddie Howe and Jurgen Klopp are animated on the sidelines. It seems as though both managers think the game is there to be won.

Newcastle are the aggressors though.

87 mins: Elliot Anderson and Matt Targett are on for Newcastle with Sven Botman and Joelinton the men taken off.

Andy Robertson makes a block inside the penalty area and there are appeals for handball. It strikes him on the back though and it’s a wonderful block from the left-back.

84 mins: Nunez’s goal was Liverpool’s first shot on target since Virgil van Dijk’s red card. They’ve stuck in the game and have slowly built some momentum.

There’s still time for a winning goal too and Newcastle will want to be the ones to take it.

Mo Salah flicks the ball up to Diogo Jota as Liverpool push up the pitch. Jota slides the ball up to Darwin Nunez but Dan Burn seems to have the pass covered.

He fails to clear it though and Nunez nicks the ball before sneaking into the box. He’s got a ton of work still to do but slots a fine effort across the box, hits the inside of the far post and equalises for the Reds!

79 mins: More changes from Jurgen Klopp who brings on Darwin Nunez and 20-year-old Jarell Quansah from the final 10 minutes or so.

They replace Alexis Mac Allister and Joel Matip.

A wonderful run from Miguel Almiron almost secures the points for Newcastle. He drives in from the right, works the ball onto his left foot and curls a fine effort past Alisson.

The Liverpool goalkeeper is beaten but the ball hits the post and bounces clear!

73 mins: Chance! Miguel Almiron slots the ball down the right wing and picks out Sean Longstaff. He whips a first time cross into the box where Callum Wilson arrives to meet the ball with a header that flies wide of the nearest post!
