Nonong de Andres bon Jose Clemente de Andres, was a Filipino actor. He was well known by his stage name Bangkay.
He was a native of Masbate and started out as a layout artist for RVQ Productions. Andres’ first film, “Kisame Street,” starred by Dolphy, Panchito and Nida Blanca.

De Andres died on November 6, 2018 in Plaridel, Quezon. His death was announced in a Facebook post by his nephew Powie Capino. The Facebook post read: “Please pray for the eternal repose of the soul of my Tito Nonong who passed away early this morning. He is more popularly known as “Bangkay” in horror movies and “Bangky” in Forevermore. This is aside from the hundreds of movies and tv appearances he was in throughout his acting career. He was 71.”

Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said in a report that Larry Liwanag, caretaker of the Tumagay Beach Resort in Barangay Tumagay, found De Andres’ body inside one of the cottages around 4:30 a.m. Liwanag immediately reported it to the authorities.
Senior Insp. Rodel Fortunado, Plaridel police chief, said that based on their investigation, there was no foul play, but the victim’s body would still be subjected to an autopsy to reveal his cause of death.
