Television and web series
Paoli started her career with Bengali television serial Jibon Niye Khela in 2003. She has appeared in few tv serials: Sonar Harin, Scandal, Jaya, Mahanayak and more. Paoli made her debut in Hoichoi’s web series in 2020 with Kaali as lead female actress. After that she was seen in The Great Indian Murder and Raat Baaki Hai as Vasuki.
Film
Paoli made her debut with Bengali film Agnipariksha in 2006 as a supporting actress. She then appeared in movie Tulkalam where she shared screen space with Mithun Chakraborty and Rachana Banerjee. She got recognition for her role of Madhabilata in the movie Kaalbela. The movie was based on novel by Samaresh Majumdar. She received international recognition for her role in the Bengali film Chatrak in 2011. The film was screened at the Cannes film festival and also at film festivals in Toronto and the U.K. Paoli has acted in several movies: Tulkalam, I Love You, Kaalbela, Jamai Raja, Chatrak, Chaya Manush, Maati, Password and many more.
Paoli made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Hate Story. She has appeared in movies Ankur Arora Murder Case, Gang of Ghosts, Yaara Silly Silly, and Bulbbul. She has worked in a Konkani film Baga Beach in 2012.
