Cameron Norrie is out of Queen’s after the British No 1 was defeated in straight sets Sebastian Korda in the quarter-finals.

Norrie was targeting a home victory ahead of Wimbledon but was outgunned by the big-serving American, who won the second-set tiebreak 7-1 to wrap up a 6-4 7-6 win.

Carlos Alcaraz continues his grass-court preparations against former Queen’s champion Grigor Dimitrov in the last match of the day, after Alex de Minaur became the first player through to the final four after holding off the challenge of Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in three sets.

The Australian will play second seed Holger Rune after the 20-year-old prevailed against the Italian Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets. Follow the live scores and updates from the Queen’s quarter-finals:

Sebastian Korda 6-4 7-6 Cameron Norrie – Game, set and match!

Up next on Centre Court is the top seed and world No 2 Carlos Alcaraz, who faces the former Queen’s champion Grigor Dimitrov.

Dimitrov is the only former Queen’s champion left in the draw.

This should be a great quarter-final to finish the day’s play.

Sebastian Korda 6-4 7-6 Cameron Norrie – Game, set and match!

Ruthless from Sebastian Korda! The American knocks Cameron Norrie out of Queen’s and ends British interest in the singles after winning the second-set tiebreak 7-1.

It rather summed up the match. Norrie made too many errors throughout in order to challenge Korda’s serve and when the American found his rhythm it was rather one-sided.

Korda is looking pretty strong ahead of Wimbledon and that big serve could get him a long way. He reached the Australian Open semi-finals earlier this year.

Cameron Norrie 3-6 6-6 Sebastian Korda – Tiebreak!

Double fault from Norrie! That’s 4-0.

Norrie pushes Korda onto his backhand and is able to get onto the board at 4-1, but with Korda to serve next.

Ace from Korda! It’s 5-1 at the changeover.

Cameron Norrie 3-6 6-6 Sebastian Korda – Tiebreak!

Norrie just can’t be doing that on the opening point of the tiebreak. He gifts Korda the mini-break as another forehand goes long. The American shows why with a huge serve down the middle for an ace, and a quick 3-0 lead.

Cameron Norrie 3-6 6-6 Sebastian Korda – Tiebreak!

Norrie steadied well after losing the opening point on her service game to secure a tiebreak at least.

Korda then looked extremely comfortable, with Norrie’s returns pinging over the back of the baseline.

The American’s serve is looking difficult to dislodge as we head to a second-set tiebreak.

That’s an awesome service game from Korda – not a lot Norrie could do about that at all with the American finding his spots on serve.

We’re heading for a tiebreak at this rate.

Cameron Norrie 3-6 5-4 Sebastian Korda*

This is much better from Norrie. A lot smoother, from his serve to his groundstrokes. He places a lovely forehand winner past Korda, with the American the unable to return his serve. That’s a love hold and the pressure is all on Korda now as he serves to stay in the set.

Cameron Norrie 3-6 4-3 Sebastian Korda*

Korda shakes his head as Norrie frames a forehand but it drops and catches the baseline on 30-30. There’s a big fist pump from Norrie as he serves it out and edges ahead 4-3. He feels this second set has turned.

*Cameron Norrie 3-6 3-3 Sebastian Korda – Break!

Grit from Norrie! He did not allow Korda to serve out that game, firing the returns at the American and pulling off a cleaner, more aggressive game from the baseline. It disrupts Korda, who then goes long after Norrie forced break point.

There’s a big roar from Norrie, who is doing all he can to stay in this match.
