In 2021, he starred in the 95th Academy Award nomination for Best International Feature Film ‘Chhello Show’ (aka Last Film Show). He was cast by director Pan Nalin to play the role of Manu, who is one of the best friends of the lead named Samay (played by Bhavin Rabari). The film was released on 14 October 2022 in Gujarat and earned the 2022 Best Feature Film Award at the 3rd International Gujarati Film Festival (IGFF) in Atlanta USA.

Death
In 2022, at the age of 10, Rahul was diagnosed with Blood cancer and was getting treatment for it for the last 4 months. He suffered from a high fever and was taken to a hospital in Jamnagar. After not getting any recovery, he was rushed to Ahmedabad for further hospitalization. On 2 October 2022, Rahul passed away due to Leukaemia while he was admitted to the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute in Ahemdabad. During an interview, his father, Ramu Koli, said,
On Sunday, October 2, he had his breakfast, and then after repeated bouts of fever in the following hours, Rahul vomited blood thrice, and just like that my child was no more.”
His last rites were performed at Hapa village in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

- Pan Nalin (Nalin Pandya), director of the film ‘Chhello Show,’ shared that when Rahul was admitted to the hospital, he was accompanied by the Chhello Show team in his last days. He further added,
We have been with the family looking after Rahul for weeks, but in the end, he could not be saved.”
- Rahul Koli was very excited and eagerly looking forward to the film’s release on 14 October 2022. During an interview, his father said that Rahul would often tell him that their lives would change after the release of the film.
- During an interview, Rahul’s father said,
We are poor but Rahul’s dream meant everything to us. We had to sell our rickshaw for his treatment, but when the film crew realized, they got the rickshaw back for us.”
