Before Rehan’s family relocated to England in 2001, his father played cricket as a fast-bowling all-rounder in Pakistan.

Originally, his father was from Mirpur in Azad Kashmir.

After relocating to England, Naeem, Rehan’s father began working as a taxi driver.

Rehan grew up playing cricket alongside his siblings and had been playing for Nottinghamshire but left to join Leicestershire in 2017. At the age of 13, he was deemed a bright upcoming star in English cricket.

On July 25, 2021, he played his List A debut match for Leicestershire in the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup.

Later, he was announced as part of the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies in early 2022.

On May 19, 2022, Rehan made his first-class debut for Leicestershire at the 2022 County Championship.
