He spent his childhood years growing up in the Regent Park neighborhood on the east side of Detroit, Michigan.

From 9 to 11 years of age, Sada Baby sang in the church choir.

Growing up, he wanted to pursue a career in basketball. He later got inclined towards music after his cousin Ashley started singing.

It was in the year 2013 that he started rapping seriously.

On April 7, 2017, Sada Baby released his debut mixtape Skuba Sada via TF Entertainment.

He released his debut studio album titled Skuba Sada 2 through Asylum Records on March 19, 2020. The album serves as a sequel to Sada Baby’s 2017 breakout debut mixtape Skuba Sada and peaked at number #125 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

On August 14, 2020, he released his song Whole Lotta Choppas via Asylum Records. A remix was released on October 16, 2020, featuring Nicki Minaj. The song amassed popularity on the video-sharing app TikTok as well as became Sada Baby’s first charting song.

The song Whole Lotta Choppas peaked at number #12 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (Billboard) chart, at number #19 on the New Zealand Hot Singles (RMNZ) chart, at number #35 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, at number #60 on the Global 200 (Billboard) chart, at number #91 on the Canadian Hot 100 chart, and at number #96 on the UK Download (Official Charts Company) chart. In addition to that, the song was also certified ‘Gold’ by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Paper‘s Shaad D’Souza wrote, “Minaj recorded this verse nine months pregnant, and yet it goes harder than anything she’s put to tape in recent memory. Let’s hope she was joking about her retirement from music — ‘Whole Lotta Choppas’ says she’s still as sharp as ever”.
