After that, she got enrolled at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi (a constituent college of the University of Delhi) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history.

She received the Rhodes Scholarship (an international postgraduate award for students to study at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom) in 1987 and earned a Bachelor’s in Modern History from Magdalen College and an M.Phil. from St Antony’s College, Oxford.

  • She started working as a journalist in 1991 and has been employed at The Times Of India, Outlook magazine, and The Indian Express as well as has served as deputy editor and prime-time anchor on the news network CNN-IBN, a position she resigned from on July 5, 2014, following the network’s acquisition by the Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries ltd.
  • Sagarika Ghose became the first woman to host Question Time India in 2004.
