Chelsea striker and Australia captain Sam Kerr is to stand trial after pleading not guilty to an alleged racially aggravated offence involving a police officer.
A four-day trial will be held next February after Kerr appeared in court on Monday via videolink.
She was charged with using insulting, threatening or abusive words that caused alarm or distress to a police officer.
The incident is said to have taken place in Twickenham on January 30 and “relates to an incident involving a police officer who was responding to a complaint involving a taxi fare”, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said.
