Saran Raj (1994-2023) was an Indian actor and assistant director, who mainly worked in South Indian films. On 8 June 2023, he passed away in a car accident in Chennai. The accident occurred when he was riding a motorcycle without wearing a helmet. The car driven by junior actor Palaniappan crashed into his bike, resulting in the immediate death of Saran.

Saran Raj was born in 1994 (age 29 years; at the time of death) in Dhanalakshmi Nagar, Maduravoyal, Chennai. He did his schooling at the Rajiv School of Excellence Mat & HR. Sec. School, Chennai. He then attended SKR Engineering College, Chennai.

On 8 June 2023, a junior artist named Palaniappan his car into the motorcycle of Saran. The accident happened at around 11.30 pm on Arcot Road in KK Nagar. Saran was seriously injured and passed away at the scene. According to reports, Palaniappan was driving the car while drunk. The accident occurred when Palaniappan was driving on Arcot Road in KK Nagar at 11.30 pm. He died immediately. A person who was passing by quickly called the nearby police. After investigating, it was discovered that Palaniappan from Saligramam was responsible for the accident. The police reportedly arrested him. The local police also found out that Saran wasn’t wearing a helmet while riding the motorcycle, which led to severe head injuries.
