Seok Matthew was revealed as a contestant on the then-upcoming Mnet reality competition show Boys Planet on December 26, 2022, as he was chosen by trainees as ‘Shiny Boys’. He was then officially introduced as a contestant on December 29, 2022, and was ranked 3rd in the show’s finale.
Before appearing as a contestant on Boys Planet in 2023, Seok Matthew was a trainee for a year and 6 months.
His fellow Zerobaseone members include Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Han Yu-jin, Park Gun-wook, and Kim Gyu-vin.
