Death
On 31 August 2023, she died of a kidney ailment, which was reportedly caused by the complications of buttock lifting surgery. In October and November 2011, Luna underwent a Brazilian buttock lifting surgery. In 2014, it was detected that she had kidney stones which were alleged to be caused by her cosmetic surgeon’s use of methacrylate on her buttocks. Twelve years after her initial cosmetic surgery, her doctors advised her kidney transplant. However, her health started deteriorating, and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She even filed a police complaint against her surgeon Aníbal Lotocki, accusing him of repeated serious injuries four times which caused serious health issues to her. After which Lotocki was sentenced to four years in prison and a five-year medical practice disqualification, although he denied the allegations and appealed to the court. In April 2023, Luna shared a video on her Instagram account where she was seen relying on a life-sustaining machine.
