Srinivasa Ramanujan was born in a traditional Brahmin family on 22 December 1887 in Erode village in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. His father Srinivas Iyengar was an accountant in a sari shop. His mother, Komal Tammal, was a domestic housewife as well as a local temple singer. He was very fond of his mother. He lived in Kumbakonam village initially with his family.

Although during this time he was forced to pick up the paper lying on the streets for his work, sometimes he used to write with red pen on papers written in blue ink.
In 1908, Ramanujan’s mother married him to a girl named Janaki. After this, he moved to Madras in search of a job to take responsibility for his married life, but he did not get a job due to not passing in 12th, on the other hand, his health was also declining.
Due to which he had to return to his house Kumbakonam. However, steadfast in his determination, Ramanujan saw his health improving once again and went to Madras in search of a job and this time he started showing his mathematics research. Then after a few days of intense struggle and challenges, he met the deputy collector of the place, Shri V. Ramaswamy Iyer, a scholar of mathematics.
Only then changed his life. Iyer recognized his unique mathematical talent and then made a provision of giving him a monthly scholarship of Rs 25. With which Ramanujan published his first research paper “Journal of Indian Mathematical Society” while living in Madras for one year.
Its title was “Some properties of Bernoulli numbers”. His research paper was highly appreciated and he came to be known as a great scholar of mathematics. After this, he joined the clerk in the Madras Port Trust in the year 1912. Along with his job, he used to write mathematics research and new sources on the strength of his imagination.

Rich Ramanujan, a brilliant genius, was doing new research on mathematics day by day. After this the communication between Ramanujan and Hardy started and then Professor Hardy asked Ramanujan to do mathematical research in Cambridge, England. After this, Ramanujan went to Trinity College, Cambridge to do research with Hardy and published several papers.
