Sudhakaran died in 2016. His mother’s name is Suryaprabha Nair.

- During a media interview, Sudheesh once shared that he learned acting from his father, who started acting in plays and solo performances when he was very young. Sudheesh won an award for his solo performance in acting at the state level. His father encouraged him to apply for a movie audition after seeing an ad in the newspaper. He said,
I was fourteen years old. I was going to the interview with my father. They were looking for a face to portray actor Ashokan Chetan’s childhood. Adoor Sir was looking for a face that was not a replica of Ashoka Chetan. That is how I became Ajay Kumar in the 1987 film Anantaram.”
