Swann Arlaud Facts

He brought to life the character of Elisée in the drama film Les Anarchistes (English: The Anarchists) in 2015. His co-stars for the project included Tahar Rahim, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Guillaume Gouix. This role earned Swann Arlaud a César Award nomination in the “Most Promising Actor” category.

He was cast as Pierre Chavanges in the drama film Bloody Milk (French: Petit paysan) in 2017 and this role won him the César Award for “Best Actor” while he was also nominated for a Globes de Cristal Award as well as a Lumières Award in the “Best Actor” category.

Along with Melvil Poupaud and Denis Ménochet, Swann Arlaud co-starred as Emmanuel Thomassin in the 2019 French-Belgian drama film By the Grace of God (French: Grâce à Dieu). For this performance, he won the César Award for “Best Supporting Actor” as well as got nominated for a Lumières Award in the “Best Actor” category.

He provided vocals to the character of Mohsen in the adult animated psychological drama film The Swallows of Kabul (French: Les hirondelles de Kaboul) in 2019.

In 2022, he was cast as Nathan Verra in the drama film About Joan (French: À propos de Joan, German: Die Zeit, die wir teilen).

Alongside Sandra Hüller, Milo Machado Graner, Antoine Reinartz, Samuel Theis, Jehnny Beth, Saadia Bentaieb, Camille Rutherford, Anne Rotger, and Sophie Fillières, Swann Arlaud co-starred as a lawyer named Vincent Renzi in the legal drama thriller film Anatomy of a Fall (French: Anatomie d’une chute) in 2023.
