
A teenager has stabbed three teachers and at least one pupil in a high school in southern Spain, police have told news agency Reuters.
Several people have been wounded in the attack in Jerez de la Frontera, southern Spain, on Thursday morning. No-one is reported to have died.
Police and emergency services were called to the stabbing at the Elena García Armada Institute at around 8.25am. A spokesman for the Jerez National Police station said the attacker had two knives.
The teenager reportedly went for one of the teachers after getting a knife out of his rucksack shortly after entering the school. The unnamed woman was said to have been stabbed in the face and eye before another teacher who went to her aid was also injured.
Three pupils were also among those hurt in the violence. The secondary school was immediately evacuated following the incident.
There are no initial reports of any deaths but the condition of the first teacher stabbed is described as “worrying”.
The teenage suspect has been arrested and taken into police custody.
