She wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Meeting God in 2022.
She was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, at the young age of 3 years. She underwent treatment at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children and the University of California San Francisco Medical Center over the next several years. B. K. went through countless rounds of radiation and chemotherapy before getting a bone marrow transplant, that was part of an experimental study at that time. The transplant ended up saving her life and has become the standard treatment for neuroblastoma today.
Following her successful recovery from neuroblastoma, she became a camper and later, volunteer at Camp Ānuenue (Ānuenue means rainbow). After funding was pulled from the facility in 2014, B .K. decided to create the 501(c)(3) organization (making it exempt from federal income tax) and become its director.
As of 2024, she serves as the coach and director of Camp Ānuenue located in the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. Camp Ānuenue is a weeklong retreat for young children between the ages of 7 to 18, who have suffered from cancer at some point in their lives.
B. K. has also made guest appearances on popular television shows such as Glee (2012), How to Get Away with Murder (2018), The Middle (2016), 2 Broke Girls (2017), The Mindy Project (2014), Law & Order: LA (2011), Lie to Me (2009), to name a few.
Her film credits include We the Party (2012), A Day To Kill (2014), The Inner Circle (2009), Her Mind in Pieces (2019), etc.
