President Joe Biden will head to Michigan to support striking autoworkers on Tuesday, The Washington Post reported on Friday.
Leaders for the United Auto Workers invited the president to join workers to picket on Friday. The invitation came after workers at 38 General Motors and Stellantis parts distribution centers across 20 states right after noon, according to the UAW. Union president Shawn Fain said the union did so to “shut down parts distribution until those two companies come to their senses and come to the table with a serious offer.”
