Harivansh Rai Ji, the head of literature and the author of the new century, was born in the Kayastha family of Bapupatti, a small village in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, on 27 November 1907. He was born as the eldest son of his mother Saraswati Devi and father Pratap Narayan Shri.
