
Two people are dead, three are fighting for their life and 25 more are injured after a mass shooting in Baltimore that the mayor has branded a “cowardly act”.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning at a block party in the Brooklyn Homes area of South Baltimore, with witnesses reporting they heard 20 to 30 shots fired.
Ten people were taken to hospitals by police, and another 19 took themselves to hospitals, Fox 45 Baltimore reported.
“This was a reckless, cowardly act that happened here and that has permanently altered many lives and cost two people their lives,” said Mayor Brandon Scott.
Emergency personnel and the police commissioner Richard Worley were at the scene in the 800 block of Gretna Avenue in Baltimore early Sunday morning, police said.
